Goldie needs a foster home this Christmas

Downstairs from where I live in Williamsburg, a Queens-based group called Kitty Kare Takers adopts out rescued kittens on the weekends. One of the cat-rescuers,  Melissa, recently took in this 10-month-old pit-mix puppy that was found tied outside in East New York two weeks ago. They’re calling her Goldie, which is the name my niece gave to the rescue we fostered in October. They’re both gold dogs, I guess. No creativity awards for us!

Goldie is currently living in Queens with Melissa and her boyfriend Hector, but they have way too many rescued cats in their home right now to give Goldie the kind of attention she needs. If you’re interested in fostering her, please email me. She is a sweetheart–very smart. You can meet her this weekend at Kitty Kares at 118 Bedford Avenue. I’m offering to do free private training with her if we can find a temporary (or permanent) home for her nearby.
