The Rube Goldbergites behind this video trained this squirrel just like you’d train a dog to do a long chain of behaviors: They broke it down into small pieces, adding one element at a time until fluffy tail rat bastard could do the whole thing to get to those acorns. I’m guessing they probably “back chained” the behavior, teaching the last one first and then adding the penultimate, then the one before that, etc.
