I’m always rather wary of gizmos that are marketed to dog owners. So often, they seem to overcomplicate the whole idea of dog ownership. In marketing a solution to dog owners, dog’s get labeled as causing some kind of “problem” that is really just a normal part of the dog repertoire. But they don’t speak, so their protests are hard to hear. But, occasionally, there’s a product that seems like it really might help these non-apartment native beings better exist in worlds full of upholstery and high-thread count sheets. Take, for example, the Paw Plunger, a product that acts kind of like those golf-ball cleaners. Stick your dog’s muddy paws in it, and they get clean! Could this job be done with some paper towels? You bet. But for the dog owner looking to stock up on accessories, it’s not a bad idea. I learned about it on the Daily Grommet today. The lead in makes me laugh:
“I love my dog Scout, but Scout needs a walk EVERY day! Sometimes TWICE a day!” Imagine!
