The service is launching to celebrate the nation’s furry key workers, who have been on hand for cuddles, an excuse for daily walks and general mood boosters throughout the past year.

To access the discounts, pets must have pawrents who hold a Blue Light Card, the UK’s number one NHS and emergency service discount provider.

“We know how important pets can be for our mental wellbeing, especially in difficult times like these where we can’t see friends and family.

“It’s important to recognise all key workers who have shown strength throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and that goes for our furry friends too who have gone above and beyond to offer their support to so many across the nation. Whether that’s asking for belly rubs to put a smile on their owner’s face or getting their humans out for a walk in the fresh air.

“We’ve worked closely with our partners to provide a selection of treats for our new furry members, from discounts on moreish dog biscuits to great toys, there’s something for our four-legged key workers of all sizes to say a big thank you for all they do.”

The Blue Light Collars lead ambassador, Charlie the Cockapoo also shared his excitement for the launch:

“Bark. Woof woof.”
